Same for me.
I use filters to only display files i want and have them automatically downloaded. Although these are visible in the specific group they fail to auto-download.
Upgraded to 6.2rc3 and have the same problem.
Went back to 6.41 and notice that if several of my filter posts show at the same time during a group update only the first is downloaded and the rest just sit there.

Cheers.

EDIT:

Still using 6.41

Just started NB and hit "Download the latest group updates" and one new file was available but failed to auto download.
As i have only recently set up filtering wanted files/auto download I don't have much history to draw on but I suspect that manually downloading the latest headers may cause my problem.
If I start NB in the morning and manually download the latest headers, and no new files are available and then let NB auto update for the rest of the day then I think everything works as expected.
If I start NB in the morning and do not manually download the latest headers but instead let NB run and auto update for the rest of the day then everything works as expected.

I think hitting the "Download the latest group updates" button could be the cause of the failed auto download.

I'll update to 6.2rc3 and set up some filters for files I know will be posted and leave the "Download the latest group updates" button alone and see what happens.

Cheers.

Upgraded to 6.42rc3-2143 and the problem persists.

I have "Automatic Update Modes" set with "Update When Started" ticked and "Update Interval" set at 20mins.
I didn't do any manual updating and the 6 or so files I had filtered to show in the selected group during the last 24hrs showed up and downloaded without a problem automatically.
The files were automatically marked "Old" once downloaded.

This morning, after about the third auto update one file showed in the group but failed to download.
No errors or other indicators of problems or anything unusual showed in the log.
Obviously the file had been posted sometime in the 20min period between updates.
As only the dot nzb files are filtered to show, incompletes is not an issue.
When working correctly the filtered dot nzb files are downloaded to my watch folder automatically and NB does its thing.

As a test I selected a new group at random with the download age set to 1 day.
Using existing filters and only showing dot nzb files, all of the several dozen files available downloaded and were marked old automatically without failure.

I'm not a big downloader (1-6 files per day) and I can see no pattern to the occasional failure.

Window 8 Pro
Quad Core Intel
16 gigs ram
SSD

Only win8 native virus checker and firewall.
No other load on my ADSL network.

Stumped.

Just after posting the above, NB updated and one dot nzb file showed in the group.
It downloaded to the watch folder, was marked old and then NB picked it up and started downloading the dot rar file. Just as it should.

Forgetting filters and anything else that might muddy the waters, to my way of thinking, if the file, regardless of what it is, shows in the group list as new and that group is set to auto download new files then it should download.

Still stumped.

I just had 40,000 files add themselves to the download list while testing something. In a group I had marked for autodownload.

I think you have some filter issue. Remember global always applies, in addition to any other filters you have defined.

Just got home to find one success and one failure.
As I said, even with filtering take out of the equation if the file shows as new in the group it should auto-download.
In my test I also had 100% success but under normal operation I get some failures.
The same filter is used for all the files in the group and it works 100%. Showing only the ones I want. It's the failure to download the very file shown as new that baffles me.

Cheers.

if the file shows as new in the group it should auto-download.

That's not how it works. Only newly download headers are candidates for autodownload. It doesn't matter what's already in the group. Nothing that's already in the group will ever get added to the download list automatically. What should happen is you download headers, when the headers are imported, the new headers are run through the filters and the ones that come out, get sent to the download list.

Yea I fully understand that. It has only ever been files available with the latest header update that I expected to autodownload.
And here's the problem.
Not all of them do download.

Just to dismiss another possibility from the problem, I've removed the "Use Download Path" (My Watch Folder) for the group in question and all 9 newly posted files have downloaded without failure to my normal download folder.
Early days but I may be onto something.

Cheers.

I have now filtered and downloaded 28 of 28 files to my normal download folder. 100% success.
I need to keep "Use Download Path" unselected and change my filter to download dot rar files to my DL folder and not dot nzb files to my watch folder to keep my automation running correctly.
Not ideal but workable.

Cheers.

I'm unclear. You were downloading all files to the watch folder?

As above.

I was automatically downloading nzb files (dot nzb) to my "Watch Folder" but that was causing the problems I was describing.
I now automatically download rar files (dot rar) to my "Download Folder" and that seems to be working.

Global Filter: Accept dot nzb
Global Filter: Reject [.]720p|[.]1080p

Group Filter: Accept: File names that I want.
Example: \[\#a[.]b[.]SomeGroup\]\-\[ Part1OfFlename[.]Part2OfFilename[.]s01

When headers are updated, either manually or automatically (set for 20mins), and the above filtered file's nzb is shown as NEW it was downloaded to my "Watch Folder"
NB then processed the nzb.

That was causing some failures, as in a NEW nzb file would show with a header update but fail to download. (To the "Use Download Path" selected "Watch Folder").

Changing the Global Filter: Accept: to dot rar
and deselecting "Use Download Path" seems to be working. The dot rar files are downloading to my "Download Folder"

As I said in my earlier posts, when using "Use Download Path" I get some failures. Deselecting "Use Download Path" so far has been 100% successful.

Cheers.
