I reinstalled windows and installed the latest version of newsbin. Every time I close newsbin now it starts with the non removable search tab displayed and the downloading files list is minimized. Previously, the downloading files tab stayed maximized. I have no use for the search function as I have not and most likely never will subscribe to your search service.

You'd have to drag the download list to the top and drop it on the same pane as the search tab. You'll need to drag the tab itself.

Something was broken for me. I reinstalled and specified version 6 layout. Now it's letting me drag the download list tab. Now I can't make the message of the day stop displaying on startup. Yeah, not a huge deal but I like my newsbin the way I like it.

Edit- found your post about clicking register again. It's fixed and the layout is back.
