I am, although not my primary. My Thinkpad T-400 was free, is really quite so I can run it overnight, and cannot be upgrade to Win 10 due to a lack of
video drivers. Full 8GB installed so plenty of memory.

No, I don't, Win 7 has been dead and a huge security risk for those that try to keep using it.

Programmers have stopped support for Win 7 and the same will happen over time for Win 10.
To keep supporting Win 7 would be a programmer's nightmare. Any respected program has stopped support for Win 7.

Win 10 is done on or before the end of this year (2025), so many need to go to Win11.

Trust me I get it, who wants to keep updating to a new computer, but I had to a short time after Win 11 came.
My computer was upgradable from Win 8.1 to Win 10, but not to Win 11.

Although on the Newsbin website it does say for 6.90, 'Version 6.90 does not run on Windows XP or Windows 2003. Version 6.73 is the last version that did. Available on the Archives Page'.

It's been years since I used Win7, but also it says for Newsbin 'If you still have 32 bit Windows, download 6.82.'

One thought might be to run Linux on the laptop, then run Newsbin under Wine. Newsbin works perfectly under Linux and wine.

Older versions of Newsbin work in Win7 for sure. I'm not sure about the latest one. I simply haven't tried Win7. I do test under Linux.

I'm running 6.90 build 5524 on Win 7, rock solid. It is the only thing that computer does. I don't auto unpack. Just download. I don't really consider it much of a security threat. Thanks for the thoughtful responses.

Home premium 64 bit with 8gb memory. 2.5" spinner. If it is helpful to know. The hard drive in that computer failed within this month of April and I was able
to do a full install including (with a few updates downloaded and applies manually) fully patching via Windows Update.

I am still running Newsbin on Win 7. The latest 6.91 beta runs on it as well. I have some software utilities that I like that either don't work on Win 10 or I need to pay to upgrade to a newer version that does. After working on Win 10/11 machines all day, going back to my Win 7 machine is like coming home :)
